Welded Wire Fence Instructions

There are several options available in building a welded wire fence that may accommodate any animal from a puppy to a herd of cattle.
The bottom part that forms the letter T is about one foot from the bottom of the posts length. The entire sides of the T will be underground when they are driven into the ground with a post driver. Larger animals like livestock require more fence stability that you can obtain by driving the T-posts more than one foot into the ground. Livestock fencing requires two feet of a T-post underground any buying the T-posts two feet taller than the fencing. Merchants sell welded wire mesh in three types: standard, galvanized and PVC-coated. Metal clips or baling wire in a roll can attach a welded wire fence to T-posts.
A welded wire fence can use either wooden treated lumber or T-posts for its poles to attach the wire to and provide stability. The metal clips are a pre-determined length. A welded wire fence using wooden poles may use either a heavy-duty stapler or wooden fence staples to hammer into the poles through the wire for attaching the wire to the poles.
The distance in pole placement will vary depending on your desired containment and the height of the welded wire fence. When using metal T-posts purchase the posts at least one foot taller than the fencing.
